Safety Instructions
General use
- This Kamado is intended for outdoor use only. Do not use indoors, on balconies, in boats, or in enclosed spaces unless the area fully complies with all fire safety requirements.
- Keep children and pets at a safe distance when the grill is hot.
- Never leave a burning grill unattended.
- Hot embers may be released during use – fire hazard.
Ignition and Fuel
- DO NOT use gasoline, lighter fluid, alcohol, or other chemicals to ignite the grill.
- Use only food-safe fire starters designed for cooking.
- It is recommended to use charcoal, as it burns longer and produces less ash.
- Do not use coal, wood, briquettes, or other unsuitable fuels.
Opening the Lid
- When the grill is hot, open the lid slowly.
- First lift it slightly to allow air to enter gradually.
- Opening the lid too quickly may cause a sudden flare-up and risk of injury.
Fire Safety
- Do not use the Kamado on wooden decks or other flammable surfaces.
- Keep the grill at least 3 meters away from flammable materials.
- Always follow local fire safety regulations.
- Keep a fire extinguisher within reach during use.
Heat and Handling
- Never move the Kamado while it is in use or still hot – cooling may take up to 12 hours.
- Always use heat-resistant gloves when handling hot surfaces or food.
- Air vents remain hot even after cooking – avoid direct contact.
Moving and Stability
- Allow the grill to cool completely before moving or storing it.
- Do not push the Kamado in front of you – it may tip over.
- Always lock the wheels.
- Do not place or store the grill on edges or slippery surfaces in strong wind.
Weather and Storage
- If not in use for a longer period, remove the wooden side shelves.
- We recommend using a Dreamfire Kamado rain cover.
- Never place the cover on a hot or warm grill.
Important:
- Below +5°C, prevent moisture from entering the ceramic body
- Moisture may freeze and cause cracks
- If water gets inside, dry it and heat the grill at a low temperature.
Usage Recommendations
- Do not use the Kamado as a fireplace or fire pit.
- Let the fire burn for about 30 minutes before cooking for the first time.
- Use the grill only on a stable, non-flammable surface.
Maintenance
- Always check the grill for damage before use.
- Regularly check bolts and fittings (at least twice a year).
- The metal band may loosen due to heat – tighten if necessary, but only when the grill is cold.
Extinguishing the Grill
- Close all vents and the lid
- Allow the fire to extinguish naturally
Do not use water to extinguish charcoal – this may cause flare-ups or damage the grill
Assembly
Before assembling your Dreamfire Kamado grill, please read this manual carefully.
Place the grill on a soft surface to protect it from accidental damage (e.g. scratches). Keep this manual with the grill for future reference.
Warning: Do not overtighten nuts and bolts, as this may cause them to break or damage the ceramic body. They should be tight enough to hold securely, but not excessively tight. Check all bolts and nuts regularly (at least twice a year).
Warning: Carefully remove all packaging from the Dreamfire Kamado. Do not discard the user manual. Keep the lid closed during assembly. Remove and unpack all parts from inside the grill and packaging before starting assembly.
1. Stand Assembly
For easier assembly, turn the stand upside down.
- Insert the two metal crossbars into the ends of the legs
- Secure them using the bolts provided
- It is recommended to tighten the bolts only after all bolts are correctly in place
- Attach the 8 self-adhesive pads to the legs as shown in the image
- Insert the wheels through the holes at the ends of the legs
- Secure using nuts and washers and tighten the wheel bolts
The locking wheels should be positioned next to each other at the front of the grill
2. Side Shelf Brackets
- Loosen the nuts on both sides of the metal band at the bottom of the ceramic body
- Place the shelf brackets onto the bolts
- Make sure the bracket openings face upward
- Reinstall the nuts and tighten them using the included wrench
3. Firebox Assembly
(Depending on the model – skip this step if you have a one-piece firebox)
Step 1
Attach the base plate to the five support legs using 5 screws, as shown in image 1.
Ensure all screws are fully tightened.
Step 2
Attach the upper metal ring to the support legs using 5 screws and nuts, as shown in image 2.
Do not fully tighten these nuts yet.
Step 3
Insert the nine ceramic firebox segments into the metal frame, as shown in image 3.
Step 4
Attach the tension bolt and nut to the upper ring, as shown in image 4, and tighten.
Tighten enough to hold the ceramic pieces in place, but not excessively.
Allow space for expansion to prevent cracking of the ceramic components.
Finally, tighten the 5 nuts from Step 2.
Final Assembly
Remove all components from inside the ceramic body before lifting it onto the stand.
The Kamado is heavy and requires two people to lift safely.
Use the side shelf brackets for lifting.
Ensure the grill remains balanced at all times during lifting.
- Place the Kamado onto the stand
- Ensure the locking wheels are at the front
- Ensure the bottom vent is centered between the legs
Close the lid and install the top vent.
Attach the handle to the lid (on the front side, opposite the hinge).
Internal Setup
- Place the firebox inside the grill (multi-piece or single-piece)
- Insert the charcoal basket into the firebox
- Place the LUX multi-level cooking system on top of the firebox
- Add the heat deflectors and cooking grates
